Shortly after Aimee turned fifteen, she began puberty, and it was at the onset of this biological event that she was granted the opportunity to join the pack. Of course, she accepted, it would have been an insult to her family to refuse. It was her uncle's first act as Alpha to change her. Shortly after she was given the gift, things in the pack started changing, and not for the better. Her uncle started imposing restrictions on where pack members could go, and what they could do. Female members were not permitted to leave pack grounds, and males were the only ones to work outside of the home. It was not a pleasant way to live. Shortly before her seventeenth birthday, Aimee stood up to her uncle. As she was his niece, she was shown mercy, but giving a choice: face death for defying the Alpha, or leave the pack grounds. There really wasn't much of a choice to be had. She was given an hour to be on her way, and it was the last time she spent with her mother. A backpack was packed with clothing, and a few possessions she did not want to be without, and she was given a tent, and set on her way. Not a day has gone by since she left home that she has not thought about the family she left behind. But, to dwell on those thoughts will lead to her ruin. It's been about a year since she left home, and she finds herself wanting to stop running. So, she found herself a job, and she's saving money to get an apartment.
