The Road Wolves Motorcycle Club controls the region of and around Denver, Colorado. It was created in the late 1950s as a buffer and excuse for werewolves to meet and socialize without drawing unnecessary attention to themselves. It has grown and flourished over the years, going in and out of the outlaw realm of illegal activities depending on its leadership and pack vote. MC and pack life are intertwined tightly, although certain aspects remain separated for obvious reasons. Pack law and MC law are considered one and the same with few exceptions.
recent and current events
Roughly fifteen years ago, the pack and mc came under the leadership of Gerald Hardy, a long time werewolf who had been born and raised in the pack and mc life. Once voted in as pack Alpha and President of the Road Wolves, he took the pack into the outlaw lifestyle by starting up a drug shipment protection force employed by the cartel, taking shipments from the New Mexico border and escorting them west, north and east as assigned. The work was risky, but the pay off was able to settle all of the pack's debts as well as create a well cushioned bank-roll for all members of the pack and mc.
Around 2011, the tides began to shift with the influx of a group of Mexican nationale wererats moving into the vicinity. With them, they brought influence of an opposing cartel and what began as threat of competition, soon ended up being an all out turf war both for control of the drug trafficking routes as well as for control of the region as were-animals. On a late summer night in mid July, Gerald rode into the city to pick up his wife from the touristy new age shop she owned and ran. Ambushed and outnumbered, the pack Alpha and his mate were beaten, tortured, beheaded, and their bodies burned along with the shop. The tragedy rocked the pack and mc, and with both falling into the hands of Rodney Blair (who had been Gerald's second and the mc's vice-president) along with threats of more violence and death, Rodney convinced the rest of the leadership that the outlaw and cartel involvement needed to come to an end.
From that point on and into the current timeline, Rodney and his leadership have kept the pack and mc largely out of illegal activities, depending mostly on loyalty tithes from pack members and their businesses to sustain the pack and mc. Over the years, however, debt has slowly begun to climb to high levels again, the pack requiring a lot to sustain itself and its members. Money is tight, tensions are rising, and faith in Rodney and the current leadership seems to be wavering. Tensions eventually came to a head as the pack was meeting together to discuss options when Blair, Levingston, and Milner showed up uninvited. Battling ensued that night, bloodying the ground, and in the end a new leadership took over, in the form of Drake Hardy as the new Alpha and President, Jonathon Recker as the new Second and Vice-President, and Colton Hardy as the new Enforcer and Sergeant at Arms.
In their first church meeting since the new take-over, the vote was unanimous to go outlaw. Now the decision to make is how to enter into the outlaw world, and what kind of force and presence they want to be. Two viable sources of income are being investigaqted currently; it still remains to be seen what the outcome will be and how the vote will land.
ROAD WOLVES MC INFORMATION

MC / Pack law is to be followed in its entirety with no exceptions and is a requirement of all pack/mc members as well as their affilitates. Failure to uphold these laws will result in punishment to be determined by the current leadership and/or pack vote.
loyalty
Loyalty is of utmost importance to the pack and mc as a whole. If anyone is found to be speaking or acting in a manner to be conceived as disloyal, traitorous, or otherwise betrays the secrets and confidence of their pack members and affiliates, punishment will be dealt severely, up to and including banishment and death.
obligation and responsibility
If you are asked to complete a task for the pack/mc, it is strongly encouraged you accept the responsibility and see it through to completion. Refusing to do so may bring your loyalty into question.
secrecy
As a member/affiliate, you are swearing on your life and honor to keep the secrets of what we are, what we do, and pack matters to yourself, not to be shared with anyone outside our ring of trusted affiiates and pack members. You may not share your/our true identity or business with any humans who have not been voted in as a trusted affiliate (this includes human significant others). Doing so will be considered an act of treason.
tithing
All members and affiliates of the pack/mc are expected to contribute a percentage of their income to the pack, roughly 10%. In return, the pack/mc offers protection and provisions for the pack as a whole. Any who refuse to share in the financial responsibility of tithing will run the risk of being considered a liability and/or disloyal and membership status will be brought into question.
mc business
Only those involved in the mc leadership will be able to vote on mc business related matters.
pack business
Certain issues brought before the pack will require a pack vote. Any pack member (male werewolf or non-shifting female werewolf) may vote in these matters. Several examples include: request to open a business, request to bring a human into the ring of trusted affiliates, request to take an Old Lady (turn a human female), request to turn a willing human, request for a pack event, etc. Votes can be requested by any member at a pack meeting with the results available within a week's time. ((Pack votes will be done online via the web-site)). Pack votes are generally determined by majority rules.
pack events / rituals / ceremonies
Attendance at pack events, rituals and ceremonies are strongly encouraged. In the event you cannot make it, you are expected to inform your leadership of your absence ahead of time ((within reason)).
packhouse/clubhouse
The pack house aka mc clubhouse is considered sacred ground. Only pack members and occasionally trusted affiliates may come to the clubhouse, unless specified otherwise. Pack meetings / mc leadership meetings will take place here. Members and affiliates can speak freely here, it is a safe zone. Any other place is typically public domain and human appearances must be maintained.
new wolves to the area
New wolves not yet affiliated with the pack will be approached soon after arrival. They will have two weeks to either come to the leadership to swear loyalty and become a part of the pack, or to leave the area with no harm. Any werewolf who refuses to do so will be hunted down and run out of the area ((ie: character removed from the group))
challenge to leadership
Any pack / mc member in good standing (male, at this point in time) may challenge for a position of leadership ((to be discussed with owner first)); they must be a patched member of the MC. Typically a challenge results in a fight to submission. If the one challenged is not defeated, they are able to keep their position. If they are defeated, the challenger has the opportunity to be voted into the usurped position. This is done by pack vote, majority rules. If the challenger does not receive the majority of the vote, they are not able to take the position themselves, but it does not revert back to the defeated leader. It instead remains vacant until filled by a pack / mc member who does receive a majority ruling. ((We have set it up this way so all pack members will have a say in who is leading them and the mc. Fights can either be determined by a GM - with their determination as final - or players can opt to use our simple dice system. ))
patched mc members
Patched MC members are male werewolves who are considered the warriors and protectors of the pack. Generally these are the main combatants of the pack, unless otherwise specified.
pack members
Pack members who are not patched are generally non-shifting females, but in some cases also include male werewolves who are not combatants. Generally they run businesses for the pack, work for pack businesses, or provide some sort of service for the pack. In some rare instances, their occupations may not be related to mc life at all, but their income is tithed and they must be available to help with pack/mc business if needed. ((Can be discussed prior to applying))
trusted human affiliates
These are human individuals who have been voted in as a trusted friend by pack vote. These can be human significant others (of a long-standing relationship - not a whirlwind two day romance), business associates, close friends and family, etc. Affiliates are expected to keep pack secrets and confidences, but will not be considered a pack member nor will they get a vote in pack matters. They will be held to loyalty and secrecy requirements, and are the responsibility of whichever pack member sponsors their vote to be trusted.
(( Additions/changes may be made depending upon pack/mc votes in story or by owner discretion at any time. ))
