wolven gift: territory sense
having the innate sense of being alerted or 'knowing' when a wolf not of the pack has crossed into the pack's territory; able to follow these vibrations to hunt down those who have crossed into pack territory to advise them of the pack's presence and their obligation to join or leave the territory
Recker is one of the older wolves in the pack best known for his chill attitude and calming demeanor despite stressful times. He's hinted at his age from time to time, often in lieu of 'being too old for' something. He's had a history of service, but no one has been able to pin point when and where he actually served.
Recker has also been known to lack a particular brand of ambition when it comes to representing himself for leadership roles. Although, in his past on several occasions, he has displayed an aptitude of being a good leader and making informed decisions, he has always been shy to step up unless it's absolutely needed. He believes that being a member of the higher chain is for younger wolves, who require some salt to understand the weight of dependency.
Recker has been in many packs, but this one has been his home for many, many years. He was present when the pack initially became involved with the Cartel, but his involvement was very limited following the turf war, where he was severely injured in a shoot out that claimed many wolves' lives.
He later joined the teams running the drugs, feeling compelled to remain active despite his injuries and faltering health. While this ultimately made him a liability, he also knew that this would keep his loyalty from being a discussion among the higher chain.
The following years, he invested the money he made into a contracting company he has a 40% share with. Even though he works mainly on the ground for the contractors company, his insight on local projects and demographics is invaluable to the company. He remains with the company to ensure he's able to pay tithes, and help any others who might be struggling along the way.
Recker also serves as one of the pack's recruiters. He reaches out to the new wolves in the area to make them aware of the territory, and to ensure they know who to go to, and when. He's rarely had to become hostile with new wolves, but there have been cases where he's led the hunt to chase one out.
Recker remains an active patched member, his influence minimal at best, but he's respected and trusted enough to get the job done when it counts. Moreover, his loyalty has never been questioned.
