Drake had called an informal pack meeting at his place to be able to discuss his plan for getting the pack out of its current predictament with the current leadership. It was staged as a pack gathering with a cook out and everyone bringing items to add to the feast laid out. However, once everyone was gathered, Drake began the actual meeting - talking about the increased tithes (which several had voiced anger and opposition to), refusal to agree to retribution for the murder of the former president or Cross being sent up river to prison for life.

Before he could get farther into what his plans actually were, Rodney, Craig and Daniel showed up, angry that the Pack had gathered without them to conspire their demise. Rodney threatened them all with death for their treason. Drake stepped in between the Pack and Rodney, offering the power challenge howl - calling the Alpha into a fight to take his position. The two battled, however, when Rodney realized he was on the losing end, his last words were to tell Drake that he had been in league with the wererats and had ordered the hit that had killed the former president and his mate, Drake and Colton's mother and father. Drake ripped out his throat to take over as Alpha, but over a dozen wererats made their way out from the treeline.

Recker and Colton voiced their power challenge howls to Craig and Daniel respectively, going to battle for those positions, while the other wolves went to war against the attacking wererats. It was a bloody battle that saw many wolves wounded and all of the wererats and corrupt leadership fallen. In the end, the wolves were victorious and they all went through the traditional ceremony of swearing loyalty to the pack and the new Alpha.

Wounded were taken inside Drake's cabin, treated by Hana, Josh, and Dr. Shaw. The most seriously injured was Grimm, though with Dr.Shaw's quick and skillful treatement, he'd make a full recovery in a few days time. The rest of the pack would be nursing some wounds for a day or two, but would be perfectly fine.

For now the Pack hangs in the balance, no clear direction decided yet, but that will come shortly with the next church meeting where the leadership and MC wolves can make some decisions.
